Romanian anti-trafficking campaign
Thursday, 29 January 2009

Following the meeting in Kosovo with all our project partners, the students of Sf.Iosif high school in Bucharest and of Armand Calinescu high school in Pitesti, joined in a common activity to mark October 18th - the 2nd European Anti-trafficking Day in Bucharest.
Since the drawings of the children we saw in Kosovo had a high impact upon all of us, the Romanian peers thought to use those drawings in an original campaign designed for October 18. To see how the Romanian students imagined the campaign materials with the support of their peers from Kosovo, please, visit our On-line campaign section (the category "In our images and pictures").
Special thanks to our colleagues from Kosovo and Romania and their
talented students!

Safe Environment for Children Project
Thursday, 29 January 2009

Thursday January 29th, 2009 - Bucharest
The  teenager volunteers of ' Sf. Iosif' High School in Bucharest involved in the implementation of our *Safe Environment for Children Project,* have been invited to have an activity in front of foreign representatives of four major institutions from Bulgaria, Spain, Italy and Great Britain and show how they carry out their HT prevention activities at school and community level. The activity is meant to serve as a example of prevention work for the four partners of our National Agency against Trafficking in Persons involved in a EU project. i.e.*Reducing the number of Romanian and Bulgarian victims* * trafficked
into **Spain** and **Italy *and to inspire a future effective prevention wider campaign to be designed for both destination and origin countries.*
*We particularly seek to contribute with our experience in the achievement of two of the four objectives of this international project which concern the coordinated effort from both origin and destination countries, in an effective partnership for raising awareness about the existence of THB and victims' rights among citizens of the destination countries and development & promotion of best practice for THB prevention and victim assistance.
We thank the National Agency against Trafficking in Persons - our partner - for this great opportunity to show and share our prevention work with experts from major destination countries.

The materials will be available soon.

The images of the event may be found in the section "In our images and pictures"
