'Armand Calinescu' High School in Pitesti marked the European Anti/trafficking day with to larger actions on October 15 and October 16, 2009. The first activity brought together the master teachers of the high school who were presented updated information about human trafficking and the importance of the European Day against Trafficking.
The second activity, designed as a seminar, brought together about 70 persons, teachers and students from 4 high schools in Pitesti and psychologists and professionals from the Pitesti Anti-trafficking Regional Center (regional structure of the National Agency against Trafficking in Persons) and Arges Police Inspectorate who were presented and distributed materials (flyer created by the students, a presentation of the EU project, other materials provided by the Police) and engaged in an open discussion about trafficking and its contemporary dynamics.
Between 8-10 October 2009, "The Ecumenical Association of Churches in Romania" - AIDRom in cooperation with Caritas Bucharest
organized the International Conference called: "The reinforcement of
the Ecumenical Actions Against the Contemporary Dynamics of the
Trafficking in Human Being".
The conference was held in cooperation with "Christian Organisations Against Trafficking NETwork" - COATNET .
The inauguration took place at the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchy.
The Graduation Meeting in Istambul in September 4-6th
was a good opportunity to show the results after a 3 year activity of
4 organizations in the implementation of the Safe Environment for
Children Project, funded by CRS.
